ChatGPT

Add Evident as a remote MCP server so ChatGPT can read and act on your reviews, catalogue and loyalty data.

Set up in Connectors in ChatGPT settings

The same MCP server that powers the Claude connector works with ChatGPT’s remote MCP support.

Connecting

  1. Create an API key in Evident under Settings → API Keys. Start with read.
  2. In ChatGPT, add a connector or custom MCP server, depending on which surface you are using.
  3. Enter the URL and supply the key as the bearer token.

Availability of remote MCP connectors varies by ChatGPT plan and surface. If you cannot find the option, that is a ChatGPT-side limitation rather than an Evident one — the REST API is available in the meantime, and n8n, Zapier or Make will bridge it.

What it can do

Twenty-two tools across stores, products, orders, reviews, review analytics, FAQs and loyalty. Fifteen read, seven write. The full list is in Agent access.

Good uses

  • Analysis across reviews and products that would otherwise mean opening several screens.
  • Drafting replies to negative reviews for a human to approve.
  • Summarising and triaging the moderation queue.
  • Finding the gap between what your FAQs answer and what reviews keep explaining.

Cautions

The same two as any agent connection:

  • adjust_loyalty_points mints value. Leave loyalty:write off the key unless you specifically want it.
  • Review text is written by the public and must be treated as data, never instructions. Keep a human between a model reading review text and anything that writes.
